The story of the Marquise
The Marquise de Sales Room pays tribute to a prominent figure in our history. In 1792 , as the Revolution shook Savoy, the Marquise de Sales went into exile with only her child and her harp as companions , finding refuge with her cousins, the Cavours , in Italy.
A few years later, under the name Luigia Soffietti , she managed to gain access to circles close to Napoleon Bonaparte in Paris. Thanks to her sharp mind and determination , she restored her family name and obtained the restitution of the confiscated property to her family.
This exceptional room was designed to honor this audacious woman, true to her roots and forward-looking . An intimate and elegant space, reflecting her personality , open to light and beauty.
