The Countess's Story
La Alexandrine Suite pays tribute to a prominent figure in our local history. In 1792, Alexandrine de Sales fled Savoy in the middle of the Revolution, with only his luggage baby and his harp, finding refuge in Italy with his cousins, the Cavour.
A few years later, under the name of Luigia Soffietti, she manages to get closer to Napoleon Bonaparte in Paris. Thanks to her intelligence and determination, she manages to to have one's family name restored and to obtain the restitution of confiscated property to the Savoyard nobles.
It is in memory of this free, visionary woman, deeply attached to her heritage, that we have named this exceptional suite. A place in her image: elegant, intimate and focused on the beauty of the world, with its soothing view of the Italian gardens.
