The story of the Marquise
La Marquise de Sales Room pays tribute to a significant figure in our history. 1792, while the Revolution upsets Savoy, the Marquise de Sales takes the path of exile with only her companions child and his harp, finding refuge with his cousins, the Cavour, in Italy.
A few years later, under the name of Luigia Soffietti, she manages to enter the circles close to Napoleon Bonaparte, in Paris. Thanks to its sharpness of mind and determination, she has the name of his lineage and gets the restitution of looted property his family.
It is to honor this bold woman, faithful to her roots and looking to the future, that this exceptional room was imagined. An intimate and elegant place, as his look, open to light and beauty.
